I am delighted to start sharing details for LUCID 2027 in Liverpool. The committee are busy finalising the programme and we will send out further details about speakers over the next few months.

Our selected topics will provide content relevant for claims assessors, underwriters and professionals from the wider protection market. We have carefully curated the programme to ensure that it includes novel and challenging topics to spark debate and ignite curiosity.

We will be exploring a range of medical topics, including the challenges presented by over-diagnosis, and the ever-expanding role of AI and technology in medicine. LUCID 2027 will also feature panel sessions, with the opportunity to hear experts from our industry discuss hot topics and emerging trends in underwriting and claims. There will also be time allocated for delegates to ask questions and contribute to the conversation.

Our keynote lectures will once again be named after Dr Kevin Somerville and Calvin Cole. Kevin was instrumental to the early success of LUCID and continues to offer guidance from afar. Calvin, a keen supporter of LUCID, always believed passionately in educating and mentoring the next generation of underwriting and claims professionals. We hope you will agree that it is fitting that we continue to honour their contributions to our industry.
